February 29, 2016

Hello people that pay attention to my life,
This week has been very short in my eyes.
We have been very focused on making sure that Prisca's baptism happened, and it did! That's probably why it was so short. We did a lot of prepping to make sure it went smoothly and was a good experience for her and everyone that came, and I feel like we succeeded! Her baptism and her confirmation were the climax of the week and I don't really think anything else could stack up to it.
Anyway. We did have transfer calls. So I'm staying here in Malmö, but Elder Nelson will be moving up to my greenie area in Jönköping! I've been talking that place up to him. He'll do great there. I'm sad to see him go, we worked really well together and saw a lot of success. But there is that thing where we are both so old in the mission that that's the only thing that people talk about with us and it makes you focus on the wrong things. It's fine. Gearing up for the next transfer!
Have a great week everyone!

February 22, 2016

Dear the people,
This was a really good week! We were able to get out and work really hard and teach a bunch of people about the good word of God! What more could a missionary ask for?
On Monday, we didn't really do anything too special for pday, but we did go contacting in the streets when it was time to do that. The hour that we were able to do that was super productive, actually. People listened! It was crazy!
Tuesday was another day of people listening to us more that we were expecting them to. And that was just an all day thing there. I don't think you want to hear about everything that happened. (In case you do care, we walked around all day. The end.)
On Wednesday, we went home teaching. Like. All day. We went home teaching with this really old guy to this really old lady and it was super funny. They just talked about how old they were. They weren't complaining or anything, they just talked like it was the natural course of life... "You're blind?? I'm blind!" "You're deaf?? I'm deaf!" "You use a walker?? I use a walker!" Every single thing they say. This is literally every single conversation these too have together. They never remember they have it. It's so fun. Being old is gonna be super great. If I make it that far.
I think Thursday was super interesting, but I don't remember really. I only remember in the evening when I became a jungle gym for a members three girls (3,5,7). Fun night.
There was a guy that we talked to on the street that was the epitome of natural man. And I quote, (But in English, so you understand) "I am religious! I believe in myself! There is no better God than me!" Ladies and gentleman... THAT GUY!
Saturday was super fun! We got permission to go to Denmark! So we did. I don't really have time to tell you all about it, but we went to the temple and then we saw the Christus statue! Check out the pictures!
And then yesterday Prisca had her baptismal interview! She will be getting baptized on Saturday! Yay!
   Anyway, have a great week!

Let's get some schedule things in here that only mom will care about! And Grandma. And if there are anymore people that actually care about what I do on a daily basis, I pity you.
On pday last week, the other elders bounced out to Helsingborg, so it was just us and the sisters to do anything. So I think we looked for dresses for sister Savage to go home in. We didn't find one. Sisters. We also had a family home evening with a family and that was pretty cool. I like cool times.
Tuesday was super fun! There was a family who had us over for dinner. Like all six of us. But then the assistants were there too. Imagine that one. Eight missionaries in one dinner appointment. It was craaaaaaaazyyyyyyyy.... Try to get that one approved in the states. Met with some other people on the street. That was good. Meeting with people on the street. Good stuff.
On Wednesday we had a "Specialized Zone Training," which is a zone training. Which is special. President shows up so it was pretty cool. I like it when we get to see him. The training took up the entire day, and it was good, but we weren't able to get out and do anything afterwards except go to the family that invited us home for dinner. Stake presidents family. I like them a lot.
On the day of Thor we were on splits. I was with Elder Roylance who is a greenie. He's a good worker. He'll do well. We were basically out all day talking to people. That was nice. We had dinner with a super cool young family!
We had a lot of dinners this week. It was weird.
Friday was weekly planning days, and we all know that once you throw weekly planning in on the middle of the day, you can't do everything you want to on either side of it. It just happens like that.
They celebrate Valentines day here! Alla Hjärtans Dag! It's pretty fun.  So on Saturday and Sunday were just full of heart attacking people's doors... See pictures... All the missionaries cut out paper hearts and heart attacked members doors. It was super fun! But yeah. We were with the fireside on Sunday evening. That was cool.

I love bananas. -Elder Bradley

Okej... But yeah, I hope you all have a great week! Bye!

February 8, 2016

Well, this week we worked hard and lots of things happened and lots of things didn't happen. There has been a lot of drama going on within the ward that we've been made a part of, for some reason, but I'm not going to talk about that because it's pday and pday is a day of rest.
We've been teaching a woman who is planning on getting baptized that passed her baptismal interview! She wants to push the date back a few weeks so that she can feel more comfortable with it. Which is fine. It's her baptism and she basically active. She's married to an active member anyway, and she comes every week, so that's pretty cool.
I was on splits with Elder Burke in Lund this week! It was super good. We had a lot of fun and we were able to get a lot of work in. I hope it helped out. We'll see.
We did some family history this week. Well, I didn't. There weren't enough computers for me to be able to have a turn. Not enough time either.
Home teaching! We got a ton of that done! I don't know what it's like for the missionaries in the states, but we have home teaching companions, and we were able to get two of our three families visited this week! It was super good because we usually are only ever able to hit one of them.
Yeah, I think those are the highlights of the week. I hope everyone has a great week!

We gave this mug to a lady we visit often.  It's black when it's
cold but when you put hot water in it, it looks like this.

February 1, 2016

I've had a lot of typing today so this will be quick.
Something interesting about this week is that we've done a lot of work with new converts. I didn't realize how many of them were in our area, but there are quite a few. It's been fun to be around them and just feed off of that spirit they have. We've also been trying to get the work up in a place called Staffanstorp going. It's taking a little bit longer, but hopefully soon it'll pick up.
I went on splits with Elder Bradley this week as well. It was super fun. Had a good amount of success, found a pretty positive TU. Laughed a lot.
Ummm.... We helped a guy move his brother. That was fun. Then he fed us. And then a family fed us that evening too! Good thing too, because we were broke!
I hope that gives you a bit of an idea of what I do. I hope one day I will be able to explain my life more to you in person. It would be way more detailed.
Anyway! Have a wonderful week! Love you all!
